Cedarburg’s Strawberry Festival

five strawberies one star, passion of fruitStrawberries.  I don’t know about you but this beautiful fruit is one of our favorites!  And what better way to experience and enjoy strawberries than to go to a Strawberry Festival!!  Just a short country drive away from Hidden Serenity Bed and Breakfast, you will find a wonderful town, Cedarburg.  It’s in this very town that the 30th Annual Strawberry Festival takes place June 27th and 28th, 2015 and we couldn’t be more excited!

At the Strawberry Festival there are incredible food vendors that include everything and more that has to do with strawberries, including the “Original” Strawberry Brat, Chicken Strawberry Wrap and we can’t forget the incredible Strawberry Shortcake!  And then of course there are chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry crepes, and strawberry pie (Oh my!)!  You may enjoy a strawberry slushy or want to taste the Cedar Creek Winery’s Strawberry Blush Wine!

Don’t worry, it’s not just about Strawberries (although would that really be a bad thing if it was)?  There is plenty of entertainment to add icing to the cake (or should we say Strawberry Pie?).  The Gruber Law Office Main Stage will feature American Idol superstar Hannah Mrozak, Life in a Tree and The Latchkeys.  On Sunday the cover band Our House will be on stage featuring local 9 year old music extraordinaire Jaid Ruffing!  These are not something you will want to miss!!

On top of all of this fun, 250 of the best local and Midwest artists will be bringing their masterpieces for you to see which will include paintings, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fiber art, fine glass, woodwork, mixed media and photography, all being featured on the Arts on the Avenue.  No matter your taste in art, we are sure you will find something you love!

Make sure to book your stay with us that weekend soon so you don’t miss out on all of the fun!  We only began to touch on all of the activities for the week.  Check out their website for more!  By the end of the weekend you will be dreaming of strawberries and waiting in anticipation for next year’s festival!
