The Shalom Wildlife Holiday Drive-Thru the Zoo is billed as “A Journey to the North Pole”. This year it starts on November 22 and runs through December 29. The tour is a three-mile loop through the wildlife area and you can stay in the warmth of your own vehicle the whole time.
Along the way, you will see huge stockings and special messages from Santa as well. There are treasures for all as you drive through the zoo. You will see many animals in a much more natural setting than you would see at any of the city zoos in the area. deer, elk, bison and wolves are a few of the animals you are likely to see on your tour. And new this year are the adorable black bear cubs. They have been a hit all summer!
Shalom Wildlife Zoo also has a gift shop, snack shop, one of the world’s largest collection of whitetail deer and elk antlers as well as Native American cultural exhibits. Why not make your visit into something extra special by choosing a Christmas tree from the selection Shalom Wildlife sells.
Perhaps the coolest thing of all however, is that Shalom Wildlife Zoo is right across the street from Hidden Serenity Bed and Breakfast on Shalom drive! You can walk there on a warmer day or take your car – they have a large parking lot at the zoo. Start a new holiday tradition by booking a trip to Hidden Serenity and the Shalom Wildlife Zoo Holiday Drive-Thru while prime dates are available! The woods surrounding us are gorgeous in the wintertime!
